You need a CHAIR, who knew??!
PostedApril 3, 2014
This is just ok. Again a disappointment from someone who loves Rodney Yee. The pose see on the front of the CD is never done in the video. Everything is done with a chair and there was never any mention of needing a chair. You should absolutely tell people this   what if someone doesn't have a chair luckily I did. One  more thing this practice is full of forward bends way too many forward bends for me   Might be a good CD for someone who's been injured really wants to take it easy the chair prevents you from doing yoga poses like you normally would perform them.

VERY Disappointing.
PostedApril 3, 2014
I have many Rodney Yee yoga CDs and love them all. This  is awful. I'm shocked! There isn't much difference in any of the  supposedly different practices and everyone is totally focused on forward bends. After one. Week of this my back was killing me. And it has this weird tinging pinging  music. Perhaps it was supposed to be energizing but why would you use the same music during something thats supposed to be calming. I'd call this Forward Bends to Irritating music!,

great only missing one thing
PostedFebruary 25, 2012
oops I may have rated the wrong CD earlier. Nevertheless I love this and have been using it most mornings for a month now. Its only missing one thing and that's an intro. I find it hard to jump out of bed and right into forward or backbends or standing moves. But I have his Yoga for energy so I play the morning segment of that then do one of these five. I love Rodney, my all time favorite instructor. I have a ton of other DVDs by other people I really should give them away cause I only use the ones by Rodney.

my favorite
PostedFebruary 25, 2012
I bought this in a tape format and when CDs came out bought it again. i love it, its my favorite. I like that it doesn't have instruction more peaceful, lets your mind stay focused with out all the chatter. I use other cds when I need more help. I love you can mix and match. I probably use the morning one the most as its a great way to ease into other Yoga CDs. I have CDs by other instructors and Rodney is my favorite. his voice is perfect I find some other instructors their voices get on my nerves. LOL not good for relaxing and focusing the mind. Buy this one you won't regret it. Oh I would say the standing back bends are a bit much for me, but i just do other poses during that segment. Its all good.

I luv it only one thing missing
PostedFebruary 25, 2012
I have a ton of Yoga cds I find I always come back to Rodney. there is something about his voice and style I love, its comforting, peaceful yet challenges you. I have been using his encourgement to get up every morning and do this cd. the only thing its missing is an intro. Its a bit hard to jump right out of bed and start right in to twist or standing moves. Since I have his energy CD too, I do the 9 min morning segment of that and then one of the five on this CD, but would be nice to have it included in this one.

It says the DVD had five workouts. Are they each separate or are they all part of one larger complete workout? And how long is each workout? Thanks!

they are five seperate ones, but as one ends the next one starts automatically so you can easily flow right into the next one. You can pick and choose, but you can't mix them automatically but its easy to hit "skip" on your remote to go to the next one. Each work out varies in lenght. i'm OCD I actually figured them out and wrote a note i keep in my CD I think the longest is maybe 20 mins. So if your looking for a good 30 mins or more workout you will have to do more than one.
