freind had it...i HAD to get it!
PostedDecember 17, 2011
Saw the aqua ones this summer when visiting family out of state...initially fell in love with the vibrancy...then when i walked on it, my feet were so happy! they were so beat up from being outside in rocks and gravel, getting to much sun, etc. This is the most comfortable rug I have ever walked on. add to that they are made from recycled plastic bottles and it becomes a win/win for all! Didn't even wait to get home to order. works beautifully on my patio! Best purchase i made all year.

How fireproof is the rug?

My guess is this would melt in fire, but not make an existant fire worse.

Does this rug have any off-gassing smell to it?

Didn"t notice anything like that. If you do and are sensitive to that, I would air it out outdoors for a day or two. But I don"t think you wilol have a problem with it. I know for sure that when i brought it in to store for the winter, there was no smell. Was too excited when initially purchased to notice much of anything, except how great it was going to look on my patio, but if there was a strong odor...that I would have noticed!

Is this rug easy to vaccum?

Some low-profile or tightly-woven rugs simply won't vaccum.

Use mine outdoors, so i just hose off, but if using indoors, don't see why couldn't be vacuumed...but i would use the hose to do so. They are so lightweight, i just think it would be so much easier. Then, if they get really dirty...go hose them off! Easiest rug I have to clean!

Is there any way to "trim" or slightly alter thesize of these rugs?

I love and really want this rug - but no matter how I calculate placing it, neither size quite works/FITS the space. Would it be possible to cut/trim it in anyway without the whole thing unraveling or worse?

I am not an expert by any means, but I wouldn"t try that, at least without a professional seamstress or someone who can possibly stitch it up for you and look at it to determine if that is even possible.
Are you using this indoors or out? my relative has 2 of the smaller ones on her back patio and has laid on straight and another at a diagonal and it looks and works great. or you could purcase the larger one and try tucking one end under itself on one end. these rugs are rugged and soft, yet flat, so both of these may be optopns for you.

Is the rug water permeable? I need the water to run through the rug and off the deck, not bead up and weigh the deck down.

YES! I leave mine out on the patio all summer long. Could leave it out in the winter as well, but it is so lightweight and easy to roll up I just choose to put it away in the winter because I want it to last FOREVER!
Also, vibrant colors haven't faded a bit in the bright southern facing Colorado sun!
As far as your concern re. your deck, my patio is cement with no drainage and yet i have never had any issues with it retaining water in any way.
