Awkward to Use
PostedJune 21, 2012
After a lot of research about light and infrared therapy, we purchased the light therapy device from Gaiam. We needed a device that would relieve back pain and promote health to other areas, such as knees and arms. The paddles were very awkward to use, and would not stay in place. We give the device 2 stars, because it did heat up extremely well, and it was rejuvenating for the face, but not what we needed it for long-term.
Overall
Pros
. Heats up very well
. Great for face only
Cons
. Awkward
. Next to impossible to use anywhere, except for the face
. Too hot when placed directly on skin
Was able to return the device with ease. Great customer service and return policy!

Can it be used on pelvic area, to tighten belly skin?

I have used this for about a week, daily on my face and hands. It made a huge difference to reduce wrinkles and tighten skin. Can it be used on belly and pelvic area, to tighten somewhat loose skin in that area?

We were advised that we could use the device on our back and other areas in distress, but it was too awkward to use and was extremely hot against the skin, after just one minute. You may want to call the manufacturer, or refer to the manual to see if the pelvic area is safe to use the device on.
