I am a health care practitioner and bodyworker. I have used "Chi machines" before and was excited to purchase one through a company I have grown to trust. The so called "healthy circulation machine" arrived packaged as "the healthy swinger" with an image of a scantily clad woman in lipstick that looked more like a blow-up doll than an image of fitness. The image and title was truly insulting marketing. I also felt in this case, Gaiam's advertised promotion of the product was misleading an non-representative of what's shown on their website.
The product itself felt cheaply made. The plastic foot rest was rigid and uncomfortable. The so-called swivel disk was also a piece of cheap, hard plastic uncomfortable to lie on. The casing felt cheap as well and, at that point, I lost all confidence that the motor would be any better.
I have purchased about a dozen items from Gaiam and have been very pleased with the company. I'm often refering friends to their products, but "the Healthy Swinger", as it is called, is a complete bomb.
