I'm extremely busy and in my mid-thirties. I'm at a stage in my career that has led me to go long periods without doing much at all for exercise (other than walking to work). But when I am ready to get in shape, I ALWAYS start with this video.
Immediately, I feel stronger and more energetic. It can take several weeks (6-8 for me) to see much difference at the scale, but once the pounds have come off, they tend to stay off even when I backslide for a couple weeks.
I would especially recommend this for someone who wants Yoga/Pilates type benefits presented in a gentle way. I'm not a doctor, but I imagine this would be great for someone who lacks strength or flexibility for whatever reason. It's good for balance too. Love it!

Can people with back problems use this product?

My mother has a delicate back, but wants to get into shape. Would this product be too difficult for her to use?
What I love about this video is that it offers Yoga type strengthening but with the added support of the ball. I would think that for any beginner that would be a big help. I would recommend this to my 65-year-old Mom who is maybe 25 lbs. over weight but otherwise healthy. So if her doc wants her to exercise, I'd say "yes" your mother should give it a try.
