FINALLY!
PostedJanuary 28, 2012
I cannot even begin to tell you how excited I was when I discovered this DVD! Even though I love yoga, I have a pretty busy, inconsistent schedule; sometimes, I simply don't have time to for the yoga my body craves. This DVD definitely helps with that problem! Each workout is only 15 minutes-- and Yee and Hemingway make the most of all 15 of those minutes in each workout. It's perfect for early mornings when I need a boost to get through my day, or when I come home in the evenings after a hard day. Granted, it's not as beneficial as a full-length yoga workout, but it is a great deal better than no yoga at all!
Another feature that I love about this DVD is that Yee and Hemingway are very causal in each workout. They directly speak to the camera, which feels more personable and relaxed than the voice-overs and stone-faced instructors as in some of the other DVDs. They also chat with each other-- and even joke-- throughout all workouts. Sometimes, I feel like some of us take our yoga practice a little TOO seriously; it's nice to have a DVD that is informal and even amusing.
I honestly cannot think of a single thing about this DVD that I don't love.

GREAT De-Stress Yoga
PostedJanuary 28, 2012
Honestly, I think that the quality of this DVD (just like any other yoga DVD) depends on what you are looking for. If you're looking for a hardcore power yoga workout, then this probably isn't the best DVD for you. If you're looking for a relaxing yet challenging workout that will help you de-stress, calm down, clear your head, and release toxins/negative energy, then this could be the perfect DVD for you.
As for the workout itself, Seane Corn is a great instructor. She has a very soothing voice, which immediately makes you feel calmer, and she is easy to follow. The only thing that I did not like (and this is more of a personal preference) is that I thought that 35 minutes was kind of an awkward length for a yoga routine.

Is the 15 minute workout a dvd? Is Rodney Yee the instructor & voice?

I find with working 2 jobs I rarely have time for a full 75 minute yoga workout. I used to do power yoga
2-3x a week, hurt my back 18 months ago, got out of shape and am now trying to get back into shape. My "Yoga for life" cassette & player are broken, "Power yoga" is too strenuous "BackCare" "Abs""
Lower Body" "Upper body" arent my favourites- what I need is a 15-20 min. workout that is still a little challenging. Any Recommendations?

Yes, it is. If you don't have the time for a full workout, then this is definitely a good choice. Rodney Yee is the main instructor, but he also has actress Merrill Hemingway with him. They kind of go back-and-forth with the instructions, but it's mostly Yee. The DVD is also very casual and even amusing, because they chat and joke throughout the whole thing. It isn't very advanced, and Yee discusses alternatives and modifications for most of the poses. Hope this helps!
