Great basic mat
PostedMarch 2, 2011
This is a great basic yoga mat. Its thin, so if you are looking for something with more cushion i wouldn't suggest this. I use it for bikram with a towel over it to collect the sweat. The mat doesn't move at all and seems to be holding up very well so far.

Good value

Great towel. I use it for bikram and it soaks up the sweat. Sometimes its needs a little adjusting during class but overall good product for the price.

slipping

I have had this mat for a while and have found it to be exceedingly slippery. I've tried rinsing it with water, I've tried wiping it down, still it is very slippery. Any recomendations on how to remove the slippery experience?

I don't know what kind of yoga you are doing, but putting a towel on top keeps me from slipping at all. I got the yoga towel that gaiam sells.

Does the Thirsty Yoga towel have rubber on the back to keep it from slipping on the mat?

No it does not. It doesn't seem to slip a lot but once in a while will get scooted between postures.
