Is this actually for beginners?
The poses in the preview seemed intermediate/advanced!
Anyway, I hope this is not a beginner dvd... can someone pls confirm?

I don't consider it beginner, however I don't consider it advanced either! I'm sure as a beginner, you could modify/skip poses. I have been doing yoga for about 2 yrs now - 5-7days/week, 30-60 minutes/workout. I still find it challenging enough to use as one of my early morning routines. I switch it up with Power Yoga: Flexibility. I find the Flex. dvd slightly easier, but still good and effective for a quick workout.
