Super Handy!

If you're like me and travel around from class to class with your yoga mat then you need one of these slings. It's simple, light and convenient. The velcro makes it easy to open and close and can fit around any mat. You also don't need to worry about how tightly you roll up your mat since the velcro allows for adjustable closure. At first I thought this would be a silly purchase but I'm so glad I bought one. I've never used it as a yoga strap--I wouldn't really recommend it...I don't think it's long enough.

Great Yoga Towel!
PostedFebruary 21, 2011
I've been using my Thirsty Yoga Towel for 2weeks now and I LOVE it! I can use it as a blanket during meditation and as a towel during sweaty bikram sessions. My mat is on the thin side (Emerald Rubber Mat) so sometimes I lay my Thirsty Towel on top for added cushion--it even sticks to the mat! It dries quickly and has become an all-purpose wonder tool for my yoga practice. I highly recommend having one (the large towel is the same size as a standard yoga mat)

Can Thirsty Yoga Towels be used alone?

Can Thirsty Yoga Towels be used alone? Or does it haave to go on the top a regular yoga mat?

I don't think you can practice on it alone if in a room with hardwood floors. I typically place it on top of a yoga mat...it adds cushion and soaks up sweat without getting sweating.

Does the Thirsty Yoga towel have rubber on the back to keep it from slipping on the mat?

It does not have a rubber back but does seem to stick well to a yoga mat. I often lay my towel on top of my yoga mat when I practice
