In the top to bottom three compartment composter, are the sliding dividers operated manually? Do I have to remember?
You write in the feature summary:
"Easy-slide dividers use gravity to move compost between chambers and mix in air to enhance activity. "
Is it gravity alone that operates the system? Do I have to remember to manually slide compartment dividers. Anything in a vertical system would naturally use gravity. Yet does gravity trigger by itself transition from one chamber to the next? Your description makes it sound so. Do I have to remember to keep sliding? If so how do I tell if it is time to slide? Mere fullness of an upper chamber? Characteristics of compost? Then would have to keep checking it on a regular basis to tell when it's time to slide dividers. I'm urban, I want to compost. But a) life is busy, & b)I'm in the senior Brain Stage of life so "oh dear, just one more thing to remember..." takes on a whole new meaning. <smile>
Also do I have to stir upper chamber? We're seniors with old joints.
