I was so glad to find a shower curtain liner that was somewhat less terrible for the environment (and the air in my bathroom).
Within a few months, though, there were permanent mildew and water stains on the bottom corners and where the water splashed (meaning, everywhere). My bathroom gets good ventilation and fairly regular cleaning.
After wiping down and soaking didn't work, I ended up trying to clean it in the washing machine, which extended the life a few more months.
I want to have guests stay at my house, but need to get a new shower curtain liner first. At the price, I'll probably buy another one of these.
I washed mine in cold water with Seventh Generation laundry detergent, and the curtain got a bit cloudier-looking. Probably not recommended to wash this way, but it extended the product's life by a couple of months.
