Euphoric Sense of Nirvana-Amazing Purchase
PostedApril 29, 2009
Even though I am not religious by far I must say that after only one time I feel awash in both physical and mental bliss. Jill Miller's instruction is clear, consise, and empowering. The practice I did Functional Strengh was challenging without being two strenuous on the joints. I would recommend it for beginners. A testament to this is that I have a degenerated disk in my lower back and both during and after the practice it was not affected at all. Consulting with a medical professional is still advisable though. Once again a valued treasure.

Good Beginners DVD
PostedApril 24, 2009
Even though the pose guide moves a little too fast after two or three viewings it was easy to catch on. Rodney and Colleen offer advice on how to avoid mistakes in allignment and an immediate physical benefit was felt. Both of their instructing was motivating and empowering.

How do I know which type of yoga I should be doing?

I have already discussed with my Dr. wanting to perform yoga, but how do I know which yoga practices I should be doing to help me achieve my weight loss goals?

I too have the same question and in my research I have found that Iyengar Yoga is better suited for beginners since it focusses on teaching proper allignment while Ashanga or Power Yoga is better suited for intermediate or advanced levels since it is more faster paced. Ultimately the yoga practice to choose is the one you realisticly feel you can initially do. This is important because the foundation of yoga is to be honest with yourself and progress through contentment rather than an egoist drive. The Suzanne Deason dvd progresses from beginner to advanced levels. Good luck and Namaste!
