As with all yoga poses, you need to build your time in the pose as you gain experience. Begin with 1 minute and slowly increase by 30 seconds. Any time you spend in this pose has benefits. Base your goal for time in the pose on your age and health issues (you should not do inversions with uncontrolled high blood pressure, heart disease, sinus infection or eye pressure problems).
