too limited in scope
PostedAugust 11, 2010
It is a good dvd which is beautifully shot that teaches sun salutes a and b in the ashtanga tradition. It teaches well but is very limited and will soon be outgrown. I suggest you purchase Ashtang Yoga Beginners Practice, also by Nicki Doanne and get more bang for your buck. That dvd teaches sun salutes a and b, as well as the first half of ashtanga standing poses. Namaste.

yoga on the go
PostedOctober 26, 2009
This bag works very well. It is functional and light weight. It's a great way to bike ride with a yoga mat. I do wish that it had 2 shoulder straps, like a traditional backpack, instead of one strap akin to a bike messenger bag. Still, it gets the job done and it has extra room for towels and a strap along with the mat. A worthwhile purchase for those of us who want our yoga ready at an om's notice.

safe and effective
PostedOctober 25, 2009
The yogacise bench delivers on its promises. It is well made, with quality materials and is very sturdy. That makes the user confident that they will not fall and thick padding makes it very comfortable. It is easy to get the hang of and very effective. It's a far better value than anything else that I've seen designed for the same purpose. Another really nice perk is that it folds nice and flat and can easily stow away in my storage bed. However, I like to use it so much that I never flatten it and put it away.

I've had 6 spinal fusions and have further back damage but no longer candidate for surgeries. Is this low impact enough for my type back problem?

I have been told to seek any type of relief other than another surgery, Yoga being one of them. Is this a good Yoga exercise for a problem back?

Seek the advice of a yoga therapist to keep you back safe. Ask if vinyassa movements are okay.

ashtanga dvds whats the differance between introductory and beginning? I am doing vinyassa now and want a good one for working out

what other dvds are good work out programs

Both are good dvds. I suggest Beginners practice: The introductory dvd teaches sun salutes a and b (the vinyassa flow) Beginners teaches both a and b, as well as a number of standing poses. So it is like two courses for the price of one.
